Ms. Sikes was admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Colorado in 1998. She is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court, District of Colorado; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. Ms. Sikes received her degree in Distributive Studies from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 1993. Thereafter, she graduated from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1997.

Ms. Sikes is an active member of the local bar associations. She served as the President of the El Paso County Women Lawyers Association in 2006 and 2007. In June, 2008, Ms. Sikes was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Court Care of the Pikes Peak Region. Currently, Ms. Sikes serves as the Co-President of Court Care.

Ms. Sikes grew up in Colorado Springs. She is committed to serving the community and its citizens.
